I left a C-level career before 40 after building a portfolio that fully replaced my salary with investment income. The traditional financial industry was no help getting there.

It started in 2018 when our company was acquired. I had meaningful capital for the first time and a specific goal—turn it into diversified, growing income streams I could live off rather than slowly selling down my principal over 40+ years. I reached out to advisors expecting genuine guidance.

What I found was product sales disguised as advice, 60/40 portfolios built for someone retiring at 65, and 1% AUM fees that grew as my portfolio did regardless of whether the advice got better.

So I built the system myself. As someone trained in data science and engineering, I approached it the way I would any complex problem. I spent years testing strategies, measuring outcomes, codifying what worked into a repeatable framework.

When the time came to leave my job I knew I didn’t want to retire early. I wanted to help others build the same thing — a financial system that funds the intentional life they’ve designed, not a countdown clock to a number on a spreadsheet.

Outside of Work…

I live in the Philadelphia suburbs with my lovely wife Sheila. We spend our weekends exploring the beautiful parks and historic towns in the area with our two young children. I love trying new foods – if I see something on a menu I’ve never had before you can bet that’s what I’ll be ordering.
